VONZ is a design Studio founded by Jeong Eun Kang in South Korea. She creates daily objects that are based on the spirit of the authentic Korean culture and beauty. Dawn Landscape
By using the traditional material, Ottchil (Korean lacqure), the artist applied the modern techniques of adjusting the shades almost like watercolor on the glass. She wanted to capture the mezmerizing moment of the landscape of the foggy mountains and Jeju sea during her trip on her objects.
Other Works
From glass cups to ritual objects and flower vases, the artist reinterprets these forms through the ottchil technique, transforming them into modern still-life pieces.

Ottchil refers to the traditional Korean lacquer technique that uses the organic sap of the varnish tree, Rhus verniciflua. This natural extract has long been valued for its strong sterilizing properties, protective qualities, and water resistance, and has been applied to utensils and tableware for centuries
